Hit Me Like a Ton of Bricks!

THE ICING ON THE CAKE
FOR THE OUTSIDE INNKEEPER at The Claiborne House Bed and Breakfast

Many of you have been here during the extreme heat of Summer, chilling out on the porch with an iced tea or cheerwine on ice.  Or sitting innside in the brisk a/c looking out at those silly saps outside in the oppressive heat.  Well one of those silly saps was my husband, Tony, outside in the oppressive heat, and worse - working outside, and even worse yet - working on 100+ year old bricks that radiate the heat - was...drum roll please...Tony Leete, your outside innkeeper.

Well here tis -the job is now done.  Remember our house is circa 1895, so from 100+ year old bricks that were old and unsealed and crumbling or cracked to the finished product that will last for many years to come!  He painstakingly repaired all the bricks which are the porch foundation.  You can ask him what he did and how he did it, but it wont be pretty, I mean he said it was like the worst job he has ever done.  I just know it looks fantastic!

Come and see our bricks y'all!  VIRGINIA IS FOR HISTORIC HOME LOVERS
