Is this nuts? Am I nuts?

I know it sounds crazy, but I served french toast to the French, and on top of that it was made from Croissants!
As they say in France, a real gaffe

But, was it? I guess that depends on how you look at it. I have already stated that French Fries, although are not a french cuisine, the method of cooking them "French FRYING" is French.

So how un-French could my French Toast made of croissants really be? What were my options? A crepe (also French), an omelet (also French) or quiche (also French!)  It appears that many of my breakfast dishes have origins in France. But it is all in the love and care of the person making your breakfast!  I add tons of fresh fruit, chopped pecans, and a whole lotta love.

The good news is, however, the guests thoroughly innjoyed it, and inn-fact innjoyed their inntire stay! (sorry that was really cheezy wasn't it!) They wrote a lovely note in the guest book I will share with you now. This meant a lot to me as we were their 9th B&B in a row. Score one for ye ol' Claiborne House B&B.

This is what they wrote:
"The nicest house we ever saw in the USA and the better breakfast we ever had. Thank you very much for your kindness and welcome." Lise and Ives from France.
