Snowy little Rocky Mount

It snowed all day yesterday and into the night, it was just gorgeous!
We have had no snow so this was actually a treat for us. But of course owning an inn it brings on extra stress with footpaths covered in snow and possibly icing up. Fortunately for us it will be 50 degrees today, and so far this morning everything is melting!

The Ponds and gardens this was amazing last night with the lights on the ponds and trees
The dazed and confused Daffodils at The Claiborne House
Too pretty to let the snow bury them!
Dining room daffies

For weeks on end we have enjoyed 60 degree temps here, so our Daffodils had become complacent and confused. Those dang daffies!  So Raquel ran out and cut a few to place around the inn before the snow got to them!  Enjoy these photos I took today.

No matter what the season of the year, there is always beauty all around you.
