When the Lights Go On Again
by R. Rex Stephenson and Emily Rose Tucker
Join more than a dozen talented BRDT performers as they re-create —in music, dance, and drama— the era that was World War II. Stephenson and Tucker tell a story that features more than 24 1940s hits including "The Boogie-Woogie Bugle Boy", "Three Little Fishies", and "Lili Marlene". The story follows three USO performers all over the Pacific, and is interwoven with original reports from "the great soldiers’ correspondent," Ernie Pyle.

The Odd Couple
by Neil Simon
It begins with a bunch of guys playing cards in what has to be the messiest apartment in all of NYC. Oscar Madison lives here alone and loves it until he invites his best friend, the neat freak Felix Unger, to move in. What unfolds is a "richly hilarious" and "incredibly and continuously funny" Neil Simon play. This is Rex Stephenson’s and Michael Trochim’s last performance as Felix and Oscar; therefore, it is not to be missed in this short one-week run.

The Curious Savage
by John Patrick
John Patrick’s gentle comedy takes place in a mental institution where Mrs. Savage (portrayed by Jody D. Brown) has been placed by her stepchildren. It seems ten million dollars is missing and Mrs. Savage has forgotten where she put it. That is reason enough for her stepchildren to put her away. Peopling this "nuthouse" is the typical lot of loveable crazies, or at least that is what we’re lead to believe.

All-American, All-Star USO Show
by R. Rex Stephenson and Emily Rose Tucker
Celebrating our veterans and our nation’s birthday we present a nostalgic look at the show that played in over 60 Veterans Administration Medical Centers. Rex Stephenson and a variety of Ferrum College students completed eight nationwide USO tours that traveled by van from Boston to San Diego and from Minnesota to Tampa. Former participants of the tour will join with BRDT cast members to re-create this potpourri of music, dance, comedy skits, and a bit of audience participation. The meal and production will be in the Panther's Den. Current service personnel and veterans will receive a 25% discount. Come out and join us for this fun-filled "after the 4th" celebration.

The Night Loretta, Mother Maybelle and Jeannie C. Spent in Jail
by R. Rex Stephenson and Emily Rose Tucker
In 1970, three very famous female country music singers spent the night in a jail cell in Pinetown, WV. It all happened because the promoter of their show absconded with all the funds and left the trio high and dry without the money to pay their hotel bill. Enter the local sheriff: "Either pay your hotel bill or it’s off to jail. And we don’t take credit cards in Pinetown." You will simply relish this new production that features more than 20 country and gospel favorites.
