How could I pass by these sunflowers?

AND NOT STOP!
I do not know why, I do not understand my affection toward sunflowers, perhaps it is the fact they grow from a small seed (which I love to eat) into a big bold flower that towers above most of us. Or perhaps it is the amazing colors of the bright yellow petals, huge green leaves, bees buzzing around, against a brilliant blue sky?

Whatever it is, I had my camera and I should have a bumper sticker on the vehicle "This truck stops at all fields of flowers, especially sunflowers!"  Click on the images for a larger view (640 pixels wide just doesn't do it for me!)

I took these images just 9 miles from The Claiborne House Bed and Breakfast just off Route-40 West at the Blue Ridge Institute near Ferrum College.

ISN'T IT TIME FOR A BLUE RIDGE DAY Y'ALL?
