Got Steam?

Ride the Ridge

VMTTake a train ride through the Blue Ridge Mountains by purchasing tickets for one of the March train excursions. There are two different excursions taking place on Saturday, March 16, that will be leaving from Downtown Roanoke. One train will be traveling to Walton, Va., and the other train will be traveling to Lynchburg, Va. Both excursions will depart from the Old N&W Depot, which is now home to the O. Winston Link Museum and Roanoke Valley Visitor Information Center. Both rides will offer passengers the opportunity to experience traveling on a steam-powered train while taking in the beauty of Virginia's Blue Ridge. The trains will also have commissary cars for passengers to enjoy snacks during the ride and a gift shop to purchase souvenirs to help remember their adventure through the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Don't miss your chance to climb aboard!
